The Grant Staff Accountant is an integral part of the organization and serves our customers and constituents both internally and externally.

The primary job of the Grant Staff Accountant will be to provide support to the Chief Financial Officer. This role involves processing and tracking all activity for federal, state, and private grants awarded to PDK International, backup for accounts payable and receivables (including all invoicing), check deposits, journal entries (including PR), managing AR, and any other duties within the Finance Team.

This position is remote and the ideal candidate should reside in the DMV area. 

PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Managing all financial aspects of Federal, State & Private Grants awarded
  • Managing and processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Back up for Staff Accountant regarding:
  • Process all credit card expenses
  • Update the check log 
  • Creating all invoicing for curriculum and other lines of business
  • Complete Bank Reconciliations
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • As a prerequisite, the successful candidate must believe in the core values of PDK International and be driven by the mission. Beyond that, we are seeking a candidate who has exceptional organizational skills and is detail-oriented.
  • Must be well organized, flexible, and possess excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional work ethic with a keen eye for streamlining processes
  • Flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with excellent follow-through
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Computer literate, including proficiency in the MS Office Suite and Quickbooks
  • Must be detail-oriented, and capable of working independently, with minimal supervision.
  • 3-5 years of technical financial Grant experience
  • 3-5 years of general bookkeeping/accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

COMPENSATION:
PDK International is prepared to offer an attractive compensation package, an entry-level $60,000 to $65,000 salary, as well as health, generous 403(b), and vacation benefits.
