OVERVIEW
Educators Rising is seeking experienced and passionate education professionals to join our pool of curriculum consultants. We are looking for individuals with a strong foundation in curriculum development, instructional design, and professional learning who have a commitment to empowering future educators. Consultants will participate in a comprehensive training program to become proficient in the Educators Rising Curriculum Standards and frameworks. Upon successful completion, they will join a pool of consultants eligible for project-based work as it may become available related to their demonstrated areas of expertise and experience, including lesson writing, resource development, assessment creation, and/or professional learning design and facilitation.
Subject matter experts are needed in the following areas: Anti-Bias Instruction, Cultural Competency, High Leverage Teaching Practices, Classroom Culture & Management, Assessment Development, Lesson Planning, Inclusive Learning, Special Education, Multilingual Education, Education Administration, Education Technology, Professional Development, and Adult Learning.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Potential projects may include the following:
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of high-quality, engaging, and standards-aligned curriculum materials.
- Resource Creation: Develop supplementary resources such as handouts, worksheets, and digital tools to support curriculum implementation.
- Assessment Design: Create formative and summative assessments to measure student learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Professional Learning: Develop professional learning training materials for educators on curriculum implementation and best practices and/or facilitate training sessions in synchronous and asynchronous formats.
- Curriculum Standards Proficiency: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Educators Rising Curriculum Standards and frameworks.
- Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team to achieve project goals and deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree minimum with a strong preference toward graduate level experience in education, curriculum and instruction, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level.
- Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, assessment creation, and/or professional learning.
- Strong understanding of educational standards and frameworks, content, and pedagogical knowledge.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in technology tools for curriculum development and collaboration; Comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Those with experience teaching the Educators Rising Curriculum is a plus.

Note: This is a pool-based position. Successful candidates will participate in a paid training program and will be considered for project-based work as opportunities arise.
